(Walker's Cay)
Yachters often visit Walker's Cay Abaco, only 59-miles from Florida across to Gulf Stream and the protected turquoise waters of the Bahamas Bank. The hundreds of uninhabited islands and cays allow boaters to enjoy complete isolation in nature similar to the Florida Keys 200 years ago. Spanish Cay is a little further south and also a port of entry with fuel and an airstrip. Don't miss this boat trip as it is stunning.

(Spanish Cay)
The Northern part of Abaco has extensive paved roads through nationally protected pine forests.  The National Parks systems preserves the nesting grounds of the exotic Abaco parrots as well as the habitat of the wild ponies (thought to be descendents of shipwrecked ponies from Spanish Galleons.) Authentic Bahamian settlements like Crown Haven, Fox Town, Cedar Harbour and Cooper's Town add a charm found few places in the Caribbean.

(Green Turtle Cay)
An offshore island, Green Turtle Cay, offers visitors a friendly, historic village housing the Albert Lowe Museum, fine dining as well as English Pubs and waterfront eateries. A popular choice with second homeowners and current real estate listings include established rental homes as well as commercial investment opportunities.

(Treasure Cay and Marsh Harbour)
Treasure Cay beach is listed by National Geographic as “one of the ten best beaches in the world!” A lovely community with established marina, golf course and beachfront developments. There are several large tracts of land still available including 103-acres of beachfront called Thurston Bay. Treasure Cay has a jet strip. Marsh Harbour is the other large mainland town and includes a freight port and international airport. It is a major banking hub for the area. There are numerous marinas, medical facilities, state of the art communications, restaurants and shops where you can buy anything from Cuban cigars to fine artwork. Hardware and grocery stores as well as car rental, gift shops and boat services are readily available.

(Guana Cay)
Considered Abaco's best investment opportunity, Guana Cay is an exciting island because it is naturally beautiful yet remains mostly untouched. There is a lovely development called Orchid Bay with marina and beach homesites and on the northend (where Walt Disney World once disembarked cruise guests to an “uninhabited island”) is the latest development called “Baker's Bay.” The island has a tiny community of Loyalist descendents and is home to the famous Nipper's Bar & Grill. Scotland's Cay is a residential island with a private airstrip and marina.

(Matt Lowe's Cay and Sugarloaf)
Matt Lowe's Cay , a short boat ride from Marsh Harbour, Hope Town or Man-O-War Cay, is a private 53-acre island with a limited number of estate-size parcels. The privileged few Matt Lowe's Cay owners will have maximum waterfront some with both Sea and Private Harbour. All land parcels include large slips in a private marina literally carved into the island's center. Owning on Matt Lowe's Cay will be like owning your own island with all of the benefits but none of the logistics as the resident manager will ensure your gardens are manicured, your home is secured and your boat properly maintained. The island is visited by invitation only. ( chris@hopetown.com ;greg@hopetown.com ). Sugarloaf Cay is a residential island with protected dockage and harbours. There are several homes and ample acreage still available.

(Man-O-War)
A traditional Loyalist village, Man-O-War Cay boasts lovely beaches and a popular harbour for year round mooring. The locals are tight knitted and are well-known for their boat building skills. Home to the famous Albury Brothers Runabout. The village or outlying beach and bay land is home to many retired or second home owners. Very old-fashioned setting and limited commercial tourism.

(Elbow Cay)
The island of Elbow Cay includes smaller settlements of North End, White Sound, Marnie's Landing, Dorros Cove on Tahiti Beach and of course the hot spot Hope Town . Hope Town has an eclectic mixture of luxury beach estates, quaint cottages and small resorts. It is known as the home of one of the last hand-wound lighthouses in existence and for its exceptional beaches, friendly residents and pristine harbour. There are tiny hotels and many guests book vacation homes during their visit to truly live like locals.

(Tilloo Cay and Lubber's Quarters)
New to development and both Tilloo Cay and Lubber's Quarters are wrapped in pirate lore. Both islands have tracts of sea-to-sea land available providing ample opportunity for investment and growth. Cracker P's, a delightful waterfront bar & grill is nestled just off the beach in a buttonwood hammock on Lubber's Quarters . Tilloo Cay features a bird preserve and protected bay.

(Lynard's Cay and Little Harbour)
Between Lynard's Cay and Little Harbour is the most beautiful waters in the Abacos and the treasured Pelican Cay Land and Sea park. Lynard's Cay has a remote feel and is a true adventurer's island. Although Little Harbour also has the “remote” setting it actually is part of the mainland and easily accessible to Marsh Harbour. Pete's Pub and an artists' colony complete with foundry and gallery are located there and attract both visitors and locals.

(Casurina to Hole in the Wall)
Like Little Harbour, Cherokee feels isolated but in reality is part of the mainland. It appeals to those seeking the atmosphere of an authentic Bahamian fishing village because it is! In contrast to the Loyalist village of yesteryear is the nearby Peter de Savary development called Abaco Club. Situated on the water's edge at breath-taking Winding Bay, the new clubhouse community has all the luxuries including spa, equestrian center, award-winning golf course and an unmatched Atlantic Ocean cove beach. There are still lots, condominiums and luxury beach or golf homes available for sale.

(Cherokee and Hole in the wall)
The island of Great Abaco is the second largest landmass in the Bahamas Islands. There are numerous unique settlement scattered hodge podge all over the island. There are also numerous islands for sale by private owners or long-term lease from the Bahamian Government. Some of the older mainland developments are Pelican Shores, Bahamas Palm Shores and Leisure Lee. Other true Bahamian settlements are Dundas town, Spring City, Blackwood, Cooper's Town, Fox Town and Crown Haven. At the south end are Sandy Point, Crossing Rocks, Casurina Point, and last of all, Hole-in-the-Wall complete with lighthouse.
