Chris Thompson has been a broker for longer than any agent on the island of Elbow Cay. He has an amazing ability to "make the deal." He is well regarded in the community and known for his honesty, hard-work and love of his island home. He attended Queens College and St. Andrews in Nassau, Bahamas. He graduated from Florida Air Academy and joined his family in Abaco after the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Business school to run the family hotel, Great Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour. Later he developed Hope Town Hideaways resort & marina, a 55-acre private island - Matt Lowe's Cay, Guana Hideaways, Firefly Sunset Resort and a variety of docks, private homes and boats.
His interests are all about Abaco from surfing to spear fishing and sailing. When local Government was established, Chris was appointed by the Prime Minister to the licensing authority. After Hurricane Floyd, Chris spearheaded a foundation to clear debris and rebuild Elbow Cay raising over a million dollars in donations for the island’s repairs.
He was appointed by the Government as a Justice of the Peace. He is the youngest son of Leonard M. Thompson who served in Bahamian Parliament for 21 years. He is married to Peggy Thompson and has 3 children, Jade 21, Shannon 17, Dylan 15.
